Wardrobe designs

Planned around
what you actually own.

Not a catalogue bay repeated four times. We ask how many saris, how many suits, whether you fold or hang — then build the internals to match. It costs the same and works twice as well.

Inside the bay

Four zones,
in this order.

Height is the resource nobody uses properly — most builder wardrobes waste the top 600mm and the bottom 300mm. Loft, long hang, short hang, drawers: each gets the depth it actually needs.

What goes into it

Six things a good
wardrobe gets right.

The face of a wardrobe is easy to sell and easy to get wrong underneath. These are the six calls that decide whether it still opens sweetly after a Bangalore monsoon or two.

01

Sized to your clothes

Before the shutters

The engineering behind
a door that stays shut.

01

Shelf spans

Sized so nothing bows

A shelf loaded with folded stacks sags if the run is too wide. We cap the unsupported span so the boards stay flat a decade in.

02

Ventilation

Air behind the boards

A fully sealed bay traps humidity and invites borer. Treated boards plus a breathing gap keep the carcass dry and the clothes fresh.

03

Wet-wall gap

Barrier on external walls

Where a bay backs onto an outside wall we leave an air gap and a moisture barrier, so monsoon damp never migrates into your clothes.

04

Loft access

Reachable, not sealed off

The top 450mm only earns its place if you can open it — we set shutter heights and handles so the loft is usable, not dead space.

05

Hardware life

Rated for daily cycles

Hinges and channels fail first in a cheap wardrobe. We fit gear tested for tens of thousands of open-close cycles, not the builder's minimum.

06

Door clearance

Swing and track checked

Openable shutters need swing room; sliders need track depth. We check the clearance against the bed and the walkway before the design is fixed.

Three ways in

Your room picks
the doors.

01

Openable

Best where you have 900mm of clearance — the whole bay at a glance, cheapest per foot, and no track to clean.

02

Sliding

For tight bedrooms and the foot of the bed — zero swing space, large flush surfaces, mirror-friendly.

03

Walk-in

Give it 40 sq ft or a spare bay and everything is visible at once — best storage per foot, with room to dress.

In motion

A drawer should
close itself.

The internals are half the design. Soft-close on every runner, a mirror that slides away, trays that pull fully out — the wardrobe works in the two seconds you actually use it.

Internals

The part you open
twice a day.

The face of the wardrobe is the part guests see. The inside is the part you live with — so that's where we spend the attention, and it's the cheapest place to get real return.

  • Pull-out trays and waist-height drawers
  • Tie, belt and accessory racks
  • A mirror on a slide, out of the way
  • A laundry basket that isn't on the floor

In the room

It should disappear
into the wall.

A wardrobe is the biggest object in most bedrooms. Full-height, flush and finished to match, it reads as architecture rather than furniture parked against the wall.

01

Full-height, floor to ceiling, no dust gap

02

Flush shutters with recessed or handleless pulls

03

Finish matched to the bed wall, not fighting it

04

Off external walls with a moisture barrier behind

Know what you own?

Send us the bay size and a rough count — saris, suits, what folds and what hangs — and we'll lay out the internals and a price.

Questions

Asked often

Openable, if you have 900mm of clearance. You see the whole bay at once, it's cheaper per foot, and there's no track to clean. Sliding exists to solve a space problem, not because it's better.
